about

Butch Miles is the top swing drummer today. He was for more than a decade the (always hard swinging) drummer of the legendary Count Basie Orchestra. He is a great personality and his playing is impressive. "He may be the best of his generation," writes Owen Cordle in Jazz Times.

"The Best Of The Year 1997" Cadence Magazine
